In the previous SSC GD Constable notification, the position of Rifleman was advertised for the Assam Rifles only.

The SSC GD Constable Eligibility criteria will be defined in the official notification. As per the previous notification, the age criteria for the SSC GD constable exam is 18-23 years.

For applying in the SSC GD Constable Exam 2021, the candidates must be a citizen of India. The educational qualification required for the SSC GD Constable Exam is Matriculation passed from any recognised board. The candidates appearing in class X will not be eligible to appear in Class X.

SSC GD Constable 2021 Apply Online

SSC GD constable exam is a three-stage exam comprising the online written test, Physical efficiency and Standard Test and Medical Exam and document verification. The SSC GD 2021 CBT will have 100 questions. The candidates need to solve the question paper in two hours

The candidates declared qualified in the CBT will be called for the Physical Efficiency/ Standard Test (PET/PST). Every year, the ministry of Home designate one authority to conduct the Physical examination. After the Physical and Medical test, the candidates are called for the document verification and the result is declared. The selected candidates are allocated to a particular force for an appointment.

SSC GD Constable Exam Pattern for PET & PST

Based on the performance in CBT, candidates are shortlisted for PET/PST by SSC. During PET/ PST, candidates are assed on height parameters. Those qualifying the same will have to undergo PET (race) followed by biometric/ technology aided identification.

Questions in this section are basically asked from analogies, similarities and differences, spatial visualization, spatial orientation, visual memory, discrimination, observation, relationship concepts, arithmetical reasoning and figural classification, arithmetic number series, non- verbal series, coding and decoding, etc.

General Knowledge and General Awareness

This section aims to test a candidate’s general awareness. Questions are designed to test candidate’s knowledge of current events.

Elementary Mathematics

This paper will include questions on Number Systems, Computation of Whole Numbers, Decimals and Fractions and relationship between Numbers, Fundamental arithmetical operations, Percentages, Ratio and Proportion, Averages, Interest, Profit and Loss, Discount, Mensuration, Time and Distance, Ratio and Time, Time and Work, etc.
